Anne Hathaway rocks patterned dress to Directors Guild of America Awards

Anne Hathaway has certainly been making the rounds during the awards season, and more often than not, she has been picking up awards for her role in "Les Miserables." When it comes to fashion, leave it up to Hathaway to continue to bring something different to the red carpet. The brunette beauty looked fantastic when she arrived at the Directors Guild of America Awards this past weekend. According to People magazine, the starlet donned an intricately patterned Valentino dress, which she paired with Casadei heels and studded diamond earrings.

Hathaway recently reminisced about her audition for the part of Fantine for the film, and she believes the fact that her mother, Kate McAuley Hathaway, played the same role in the stage musical helped her during her performance, since she grew up loving musical theater.

"I was asked to prepare 'I Dreamed a Dream' and 'The Arrest.' We went through each a few times, and Tom [Hooper] and I talked about the character - how would you do this scene, how would you do that scene? I love musical theater and film, and I've never gotten a chance to talk to anyone about my ideas about it before, so that might have been it," Hathaway told the Los Angeles Times.

The next show she will be attending is the biggest of all - the Academy Awards - where she is a front-runner to win Best Supporting Actress. According to The Washington Post, the discussion of whether she will win or not is only matched with what people are predicting she will wear, and so far she hasn't decided on a gown.

Those who want to emulate her style can do so by purchasing affordable jewelry such as the 4.24 TCW Princess-Cut Cubic Zirconia 18k Yellow Gold Over Sterling Silver Stud Earrings for much less.
