Carrie Underwood sticks to country roots

Carrie Underwood recently arrived at the SiriusXM's studios in New York City, and she certainly brought a country look to the city. According to People Magazine, the country superstar donned a loose-fitting Elizabeth and James sweater and flirty purple printed skirt. She completed the look with a gold pendant and cowboy boots.

According to USA Today, the country starlet will be releasing her new album, Blown Away, this week. She reflects on the last couple years and how she did not receive a nomination for entertainer-of-the-year for the CMA Awards, even after going on tour the previous summer.

"When you work as hard as we all did with the Play On tour - that was a big success and a big tour and a great show, if I may say so myself - not to be in the entertainer-of-the-year category in the CMAs did sting," Underwood told the news source. "I just wanted a nomination. Anything after that, you know? But to not even be nominated was like, what am I doing wrong? I could look at it a hundred different ways, and we didn't do anything wrong."

Those who want to rock similar country looks can do so by purchasing fashion jewelry such as the Rosetone Metal Pink Crystal Heart Pendant and Chain for less.
