Chrissy Teigen steals the show in a tuxedo mini and drop earrings
Apr 18, 2013
Chrissy Teigen may be most famous for the man around her arm, John Legend, but her style and beauty are certainly showstoppers on every red carpet event she attends. The model recently appeared at the City Harvest charity event in New York City with Legend, in a blazer-inspired minidress that showed off her gorgeous gams. She accessorized with sparkling drop earrings and a sophisticated gold watch, which both matched her glittering gold clutch. While some people might call this the "Oops, I forgot my pants" look, Teigen manages to pull it off and even look classy in the tuxedo jacket.
The beautiful model is a constant focal point wherever she goes, whether sitting front row at New York Fashion Week, hitting the city streets with her soulful singer boyfriend or strutting her svelte physique along the red carpet. No one is perfect, however, and even Teigen 'fesses up if she sports a look that just doesn't translate well in the public eye.
After wearing a very sheer black dress at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 10th Anniversary Celebration, Teigen took Glamour's post about her ensemble and tweeted at the fashion magazine, admitting that she had made a style mistake.
"I am Chrissy and even I say Chrissy's look was a don't," Teigen tweeted. "It looks like black censor bars! Note to self: try on in the light."
Not only is Teigen gorgeous, but she has proven that she's got brains and wit with her Twitter account, frequently posting laugh-out-loud accounts of her own personal life in 140 characters or fewer. Recently, she told her thousands of followers that she'd be going sober for at least the next month, for no other reason than just "to feel really truly good again."
While the tuxedo jacket sans-pants look might be hard to pull off, you can definitely try a pair of sparkly drop earrings to add flair to your outfit. One option is the Oval-Cut Simulated Birthstone Drop 14k Yellow Gold-Plated Antique-Finish Earrings, which are sophisticated and stylish.
