Dangles and studs: Earrings styles at the Billboard Music Awards
May 21, 2013
Music awards shows tend to bring out some daring ensembles, and the Billboard Music Awards certainly proved that Sunday night. While some celebrities seemed to strike out, others took risks yet still shined on the red (actually, blue) carpet. Here are a few of the best looks to turn out for the BBMA.
Dramatic drop earrings seemed to be the winning accessory at the awards night. Emmy Rossum, actress of the hit Showtime series, "Shameless," wore an elegant, form-fitting black gown with sheer cut-outs and large, diamond-shaped drop earrings to glamify her already extravagant attire. With a classy updo and bold rings, Rossum was a highlight of the star-studded event.
Audrina Partridge was another beauty who opted for the statement earrings look - instead of a formal gown, Partridge chose a pleated leather mini-skirt and a sheer gold top, as well as flashy rings and a bangle to add some edge to her playful outfit. If you want to try to accessorize with bold earrings, get yourself a pair of the Hammered-Style Crystal And Glass Drop Pierced Earrings, which come in a black ruthenium finish and are plated in 14-karat gold.
Other starlets opted for a simpler look with their accessories, wearing stud earrings so that the focal point of their attire was their clothing. Selena Gomez wore small silver ball studs and let her space-inspired dress take center stage, while Hayden Panettiere wore gold sunburst studs to complement the simple elegance of her floor-length black gown.
While nothing is simple about Miley Cyrus, she also hopped on the stud earrings train, which was the right idea with her bold black and white jumpsuit, bright red lips and fierce pompadour 'do. If you tend to go over the top with your outfit choices and beauty products, stick to studs like these girls and wear something like the Round-Cut Black Diamond Black Ruthenium Over Sterling Silver Heart-Shaped Stud Earrings.
