Eva Mendes adds sparkle to the Vogue eyewear launch

The new face of Vogue Eyewear certainly looked the part at the official launch this week. Eva Mendes showed up at the Beverly Hills party in an ensemble that screamed spring - a pink-and-yellow floral lace Valentino dress, velvety pumps and dramatic chandelier earrings to match. The pop of sparkle was just enough to make her the belle of the ball, which was fitting since she essentially was.

The spring collection of Vogue eyewear features print ads shot by Mario Testino, using inspiration from the latest runway trends and vintage looks that never go out of style. The famous photographer has captured virtually every top celebrity and style icon to date, including Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, David Beckham and Lady Gaga. This was Mendes' first experience with Testino, and she was thrilled to get the chance to work with him, according to Beauty World News.

She also commented on the line she was representing, stating that she appreciated its simple and understated elegance.

"I'm not a label type of girl. I carry the same handbag every day, and it's not Hermès," Mendes told the news source. "I tend to gravitate toward accessories I can afford. The Vogue eyewear doesn't have an elite quality to it, which is important to me."

Between shooting spots for the eyewear and preparing for the debut of "The Place Beyond the Pines," Mendes has also been gearing up for the launch of her own brand, Eva by Eva Mendes. Showcasing vintage-inspired dresses and pieces that flatter all shapes, the line should appeal to women with a variety of style tastes.

This spring, eye-catching chandelier earrings can bring a whole outfit together. To mimic Mendes' look, you can try a glimmery pair like the 5.16 CT TW Blue Topaz Chandelier Pierced Earrings In Sterling Silver. These jeweled accessories will surely sparkle at the first sign of sunlight.
