Feathers rock the red carpet at the Met Gala
May 08, 2012
The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala is known for bringing out the best fashions among the A-list celebrities, and Monday night was no different. The impressive guest list wore the top fashion designers' frocks, as Prada, Jason Wu, Versace, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Givenchy were all represented, Access Hollywood reports.
There were a number of trends that made their way down the red carpet - one of which was feathers galore. One star that caught everyone's eye was Beyonce, as the diva showed off her post-pregnancy bod in a sheer black embroidered Givenchy Haute Couture gown with a purple feathered train. She kept her jewels and hair simple, as to not offset the dress that had plenty of wow-factor.
According to Us Weekly, Scarlett Johansson also turned heads as she strutted down in a Dolce & Gabbana strapless peach dress with a tulle mermaid skirt and gold and silver embroidered bodice. She kept her accessories simple as well with gorgeous drop earrings.
Those who want to dress like their favorite A-list celebrities can do so without breaking the bank. By purchasing fashion jewelry such as the Sterling Silver DiamonUltra Cubic Zirconia Aurora Borealis Pierced Earrings, fashionistas can get similar looks for less.
