Rosario Dawson recovers at Cannes in Marchesa gown

Rosario Dawson showed that even a slight wardrobe malfunction can't knock her down. After a dangerously high slit in her Elle Saab gown sent her in search of a new ensemble, she knocked it out of the park with a stunning beaded gold Marchesa gown with dramatic sleeves and diamond accessories. Dawson let her hands and arms be the accessory focal point, with a bold, sparkling ring on her middle finger and a dazzling diamond cuff on the opposite wrist.

It seems that these diamond-encrusted cuff bracelets are the "it" trend of Cannes this year, as Marion Cotillard was seen at the "Blood Ties" premiere wearing a very similar piece with her Dior gown. The accessory is the perfect way to bring drama to an ensemble that has a lot of detail up top, in which case a necklace or earrings may be more distracting than complementary.

The starlet was attending the "As I Lay Dying" premiere at the Cannes Film Festival when the malfunction happened, and later, "Cleopatra" in her dazzling gold gown. The attire was the perfect way to honor the legendary film and the glitz and glamour of Cleopatra and the actress who played her, Elizabeth Taylor. Other starlets to bring their style A-game to the "Cleopatra" red carpet include Milla Jovovich, in a unique, side-baring black and navy gown paired with onyx hoop earrings for added drama, and supermodel Chanel Iman, who kept her accessories simple with small studs to focus the attention on her all-over lace gown with a plunging neckline.

If you have a formal occasion coming up and aren't sure how to accessorize, consider taking a tip from Dawson and Cotillard and finding a statement cuff, like the Austrian Crystal Viennese Turquoise Simulated Coral Metal Cross-Motif Cuff Bracelet.
