Sandra Bullock earns first Humanitarian Award at People's Choice Awards

Sandra Bullock looked nothing short of stunning when she stepped out for the People's Choice Awards this past Wednesday evening. According to People magazine, the brunette beauty donned a custom made Vera Wang one-shoulder frock. The black pencil skirt was matched with a lace navy and black bodice, which she paired with a chunky bracelet and bright pink Jimmy Choo heels.

At the awards, Bullock was honored with the first-ever Favorite Humanitarian Award for her work in New Orleans. According to Us Weekly, Bullock turned her focus to the Warren Easton Charter High School in 2005, which sustained about $4 million worth of damage from Hurricane Katrina. Since, she has been committed to improving the lives of those who live in the city, which was damaged greatly by superstorm.

"That little clip that you saw does not even begin to scrape the surface of the amazing volunteers and humanitarians that I've come to love in New Orleans," Bullock told the news source. "And I'm not at all being modest when I say I don't do anything compared to what they do on a daily basis. I am simply blessed to be able to do what I do because of what you allow me to do, and that is write a check and be a really good cheerleader and that's it."

This cause is close to her heart as well, since Bullock adopted her son, Louis, from New Orleans in 2010, the media outlet reports.

Those who want to emulate Bullock's style can do so by purchasing affordable jewelry such as the Blue Crystal Silvertone Metal Bali-Style Beaded Charm And Spacer Bracelet for much less.
