Starlets bring hoops back to the red carpet

While some jewelry trends come and go, hoop earrings are definitely here to stay. Thus far this summer, starlets have been sporting them all over the red carpet in a variety of metals and forms, showing their versatility and simplistic glamor. Follow in these celebrities' footsteps by giving this staple earring style a whole new spin.

Minnie Driver
At the recent Fashion Rules Exhibit at London's Kensington Palace, British actress Minnie Driver donned a stunning Missoni sequin organza floor length gown. The launch party was for an exhibition of a collection of dresses worn by Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales. While on the runway, the dress was lined with a white slip underneath, Driver went without the underlay for a more sheer look. There was nothing traditional about her hoops, which were oversized and featured a chain detail. Her side parted pony and smokey eyes made the ensemble even more striking and unusual.

You can make an unexpected statement with the 1.56 TCW Round Cubic Zirconia Hammered Hoop Earrings In Yellow Gold Tone. This super modern pair of hoops have a subtly dazzling array of cubic zirconia details. Meanwhile, the hammered texture gives the earrings a distinctive shape. With a flowing sorbet-colored maxi dress like Driver's, these earrings are the only accessory you need.

Jordin Sparks
Sparks gave a totally different take on hoops at the recent BET Awards in L.A. Her Clover Canyon bodycon minidress displayed an eye-catching summer floral print in shades of red, tangerine and violet. Her beachy waves, stark white manicure and white pumps screamed summertime. A dress like this called for simple  accessories - and classic gold hoops did just the trick.

With a busy print, the Yellow Gold Tone Double Hoop Earrings are just enough glimmer. This pair can transition seamlessly from day to night, and the textured double layer adds an element of interest to the traditional shape.

Regardless of the occasion, hoops really are the anytime accessory of the season.
