Top looks from the 2013 Style Awards

Sep 06, 2013

Unsurprisingly, the Style Awards at Lincoln Center attracted some of Hollywood's hottest stars in support of their favorite designers. Despite the fact that the awards show is meant to honor talent in the fashion industry - such as Brian Atwood, Zac Posen, Catherine Malandrino and Prabal Gurung - celebrities' eye-catching ensembles were attracting a lot of the attention on the red carpet.

From supermodel Christie Brinkley to "Mad Men" star Jessica Pare, there was no shortage of stunning outfits. Even hostess Nicole Richie stepped up her game with an eclectic and unexpected outfit. Though these starlets' choice of garments were undoubtedly striking, it was their jewelry that truly made a statement. The designers have already gone home with their trophies from the Style Awards, but there were some winners in the audience as well. These are just a few of the top picks from an overall glamorous evening.

Rachel Zoe
It's easy to see why Zoe was granted the award for #1 Celebrity Stylist. Her impeccable taste is obvious not only in the selections she makes for her clients, but also in the pieces she dons at various events. She made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her pregnancy at The Style Awards, and her ensemble certainly made an impression. The 42-year-old stylist and designer wore a strapless floor-length black gown with ornate, faintly sparkling embroidery. Her David Webb jewelry selection added some eccentricity to the elegant dress, and included a twisting silver bracelet, a ring with an oversized green stone and silver chandeliers with rust-colored beads.

If you're trying to give a chic gown a boho touch, slip on the 10.64 TCW Pear-Shape Genuine Blue Topaz And Multi-Gem 10k Yellow Gold Drop Earrings are both delicate and dazzling, and with green, yellow, violet, red and blue crystals, would pair well with a variety of dress colors.

Nicole Richie
As hostess of the evening, all eyes were on Richie - and her edgy ensemble definitely helped. Instead of a predictable gown, she donned Antonio Berardi black velour cropped pants, a matching beaded crop top that showed off her tan midriff and double-strap Vivienne Westwood platform pumps. She kept her hair sleek and her makeup minimal, with just a radiant glow and subtle smoky eye. Even her jewelry was simplistic, save for understated Jennifer Meyer earrings and an enormous ring from her own line, House of Harlow.
