CFDA Fashion Awards bring out the best in Hollywood style

The Council of Fashion Designers of America doesn't just call it quits after the Met Gala. Instead, the not-for-profit organization kicks it up a notch with the annual CFDA Fashion Awards, which honors the nation's leading designers in womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessories. Not surprisingly, the biggest names in Hollywood come out for this event and dress to the nines in gowns and jewels created by the designers present that night. Some of the fiercest ensembles were paired with equally stunning jewelry, like Olivia Palermo's gold accessories, Sofia Vergara's unbelievable Lorraine Schwartz necklace and Kate Mara's equally dazzling emerald and opal statement piece.

Every one of these ladies used their accessory to accentuate their ensemble, not take away from it. Palermo, one of today's chicest New York City socialites, showed off her impeccable eye for detail while wearing a fringed gold Dennis Basso evening dress and sparkling accessories, including bangles, elegant earrings and a unique brooch on the collar of her dress. Her gold lace-up mules might have stolen some of the attention from her jewels, but we still have our eyes set on that flowery pin. This vintage-inspired jewelry piece is a great way to add dimension to your plain summer dress, spring jacket or sweater. Something like the Flower-Shaped Genuine Coral Leaf-Shaped Genuine Jade Goldtone Metal Ribbon Bouquet Pin can boost the character and color of your outfit.

One of the most show-stopping looks of the night was Sofia Vergara, the siren actress from "Modern Family." Wearing a bright green, form-fitting Herve L Leroux gown and a dazzling, layered green statement necklace from Lorarine Schwartz, she made it clear that she's comfortable with all eyes on her. Though her necklace - and her amazing curves - drew in most of the attention, her sparkling wrist and hand ornaments were other eye-catching additions to her attire.
