Katy Perry rocks hot pink at recent event

Katy Perry has walked her fair share of red carpets, and she looked fantastic when she stepped out to accept Billboard's Woman of the Year award in New York City. According to People Magazine, the pop starlet donned a pink Oscar de la Renta sheath dress with ruffles, a jeweled belt and heels. She paired the style with, with Sally Sohn earrings.

Perry was more than humbled when she was given the award, Billboard reports.

"I am not a feminist, but I do believe in the strength of women," Perry said during her acceptance speech. "I don't really like to call myself a role model for my fans. I hope that I am an inspiration for them, especially young women. My mantra, especially for the ['Part Of Me'] film, was - If you believe in yourself, you can be anything."

This wasn't the only honor Perry received over the weekend. According to Monsters and Critics, the starlet was also given the Trevor Hero Award from the Trevor Project, a nonprofit that focuses on suicide-prevention in the lesbian, gay bisexiul and transgender youth.
