The annual UNICEF ball took place last evening, as celebrities and activists gathered together at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The event was held to raise money through a live auction and honor recipients of this year's awards.
During the event, Sean Penn presented the Medavoy Family with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award for their commitment to UNICEF's purpose, which is to save and improve the lives of children all over the world, the Huffington Post reports. Also, the Woman of Compassion Award was given to Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan.
Besides the generous and giving atmosphere, there were also a number of celebs who shined throughout the night with their gorgeous gowns and beautiful fashion jewelry. Nicole Richie was one of many who stood out in the crowd. She wore a black cut-out leather dress with big earrings and two rings - her engagement ring and a large, standout ring.
Richie wasn't the only dazzling celebrity, as Diane Kruger, Brooklyn Decker, Lionel Richie, Jayma Mays, Dennis Quaid, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy and Kate Walsh also lit up the event.
