Quvenzhane Wallis rocks puppy purse to Oscars

Mar 01, 2013

Quvenzhane Wallis was one of the many lovely stars on the red carpet of the Oscars, and 9-year-old Wallis certainly showed how to dress perfectly for her age. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Best Actress nominee (the youngest in history) donned a strapless navy Armani Junior by Giorgio Armani gown, which she paired with drop earrings, a crystal headband and one of her adorable puppy purses.

Even though Wallis did not receive the Best Actress honor, which went to Jennifer Lawrence, she will have plenty of time to try again. Plus, the young starlet already has her next film lined up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will play "Annie" in the film adaptation of the iconic stage musical.

"With the recent Academy Award nomination and critical acclaim, Quvenzhane Wallis is a true star, and we believe her portrayal as Annie will make her a true worldwide star. She is an extraordinary young talent with an amazing range, not only as an actress but as a singer and dancer, and we can't wait for audiences to further discover her," Sony president of production Hannah Minghella told the media outlet.

Those who want to emulate Wallis' style can do so by purchasing affordable jewelry such as the 5.08 TCW Oval Cut Cubic Zirconia Sterling Silver Aurora Borealis Drop Earrings for much less.
