Taylor Swift stuns in white gown at Grammy's
Feb 12, 2013
Taylor Swift kicked off the Grammy Awards with her performance of "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together," but she already made her presence known on the red carpet. According to People magazine, the country-turned-pop singer wowed in a white Grecian-inspired J. Mendel gown. The ivory pleated dress was complete with silver detailing around the bodice. She finished off the look with studded earrings, a braided updo and a bracelet with dark purple stones.
Swift also made quite the statement while she was performing, as she apparently took a dig at her ex-boyfriend, One Direction's Harry Styles. While she was singing during her Alice In Wonderland-inspired performance, she added a British accent to a part of the song.
"So he calls me up and he's like, 'I still love you,' and I'm like, 'I'm sorry, I'm busy opening up the Grammy's,'" Swift said with an English accent during her performance.
According to The Huffington Post, the two split after the holidays. Swift is known for incorporating her past boyfriends into her music, so it would not be out of character for her to mention Styles during her performance - especially if the rumors of why they split are true.
“She thought he was cheating on her when they were apart over the holidays so she ended it, telling him she couldn't be in a relationship with someone like that," a source told RadarOnline. "His reputation precedes him and it's hard to believe Taylor will ever be able to fully trust Harry because the ladies just throw themselves at him and he does nothing to temper that."
Those who want to emulate Swift's style can do so by purchasing costume jewelry such as the 15.66 CTW Cushion Square-Cut Amethyst Tennis Bracelet In Sterling Silver for much less.
